I took these photographs from an excellent seat near the fifty yard line in the lower sections at Fedex Field in Landover, Maryland. I used my Canon EOS 7D SLR with a Sigma 120-300mm F2.8 zoom lens. I developed the pictures using Adobe Lightroom 3.0 and Photoshop Elements 7.0 (using Topaz Adjust 4.0 and Topaz Detail 2.0 on a handful). I also used Alienskin’s Bokeh program to add some selective focus and blur out distractions. Since it was a night game and I was shooting at very high ISOs, I ran the images through Noiseware 2.0 Standard standalone. Overall, it was a very enjoyable game and hopefully a good omen for the Redskins‘ regular season. I’m hoping to get to photograph the regular season from the sidelines for cable television like I got to do last year, but if that doesn’t work out, I figure I’ll attend at least one regular season game. I just wish the tickets were priced so insanely high.
